Have you ever been traveling, even around your own country, and had to deal with mysterious incompatabilities in the telecommunications infrastructure? I want to get information up here to help us not only deal with these problems, but understand where the flaws lie.

The telecomm companies don't give out a lot of info because of security concerns, but how else are you supposed to find out that your old (read: theft-proof) 2400 baud modem you're using in a country with an archaic telephone system is generating a pseudo-2600 Hz signal, wrecking havoc on the switching network in the process? With current digital systems and higher-speed modems, who is to say what other problems could result?

Lets get this info distributed so anyone with net access can obtain it, regardless of regional boundaries and corporate monopolies on information... And as a service to them. :-)

In the mean time, check out ColdFire's web page. There's plenty of useful information to be found there.

Oh, and if you're interested, here's an old file about boxing... Might be some interesting trouble-shooting info here.

And a little phreak guide from days of old.

Let me know of any interesting tidbits I can put up here.
