VR Applications and block diagrams
The first idea...
The latest idea; Multiprocessor VR
system
As always, these pages are always under construction... I have since
refined my ideas based on what more I have learned about general DSP,
CPU, parallel architecture... I now have my latest paper designs
in digital format up on this site. One thing I haven't quite
figured out is if DSP chips actually generate the signal, whether it be
audio or visual, or if their purpose is merely to manipulate
an incoming signal, i.e. transformations, mappings and other
manipulations. My latest design to go up is based on small scale parallel
architecture... Thanks of course to Circuit Cellar INK for their
inspirational article on general parallel processing techniques...
Could be interesting...
Turns out much of my idea development has been along a Harvard
architecture train of thought. SUN
has already encorporated a great deal of this into their Ultra-SPARC Port Architecture. Oh well. I want my
ideas to work with simple CISC and RISC processors on an asynchronous
bus, which can then be directly interfaced with an ATM-based network.
Some day, hopefully this summer, when I have more time, I'll be able to
write up my latest incarnation... As long as I can find myself a job.
Back to my VR page.
